The Plants vs Brainrots shop is the single biggest cash sink in the early-to-mid game. Understanding how the rotation works — and how rarity probabilities actually weight against you — saves hours of wasted refreshes.
The rotation rules
Plants vs Brainrots’ shop displays 6 plants at a time. It reshuffles roughly every 5 minutes on a server-wide timer. There’s no per-player rotation, which means everyone on your server sees the same shop at the same time.
The rarity weights observed across the May 2026 meta (your mileage may vary):
- Common / Uncommon: 60% of slots. Always available, basically furniture.
- Rare: 25% of slots. Show up on most refreshes, sometimes 2-3 at once.
- Epic: 10% of slots. Roughly 1 in 2 refreshes.
- Legendary: 3% of slots. Roughly 1 in 5-10 refreshes.
- Mythical: 1.5% of slots. Roughly 1 in 80 refreshes.
- Secret: 0.5% or less of slots. Roughly 1 in 200+ refreshes.
When to refresh aggressively
The shop costs Beli to manually refresh. Burning cash on refreshes only makes sense in two scenarios:
- You’re hunting a specific Mythical to complete a fusion path (like Mr. Carrot for the Los Mr. Carrotitos chain).
- You’ve banked cash post-rebirth and want to lock in a strong opening loadout before the multiplier curve takes off.
In both cases, time your refreshes during Lucky Potion windows — they tilt the rarity weights in your favour by ~30%.
When to NOT refresh
If you’re trying to clear a story mode wall, don’t waste cash on shop refreshes. Solve the wall with the units you already have, or rebirth and farm to a new cash plateau first. Wasting Beli on Common-tier refreshes is the slowest path forward.
How our shop page helps
Our shop rotation page tracks the typical rotation observed each week. It won’t tell you what’s in the shop right now (no API for that), but it does give you calibration: what kinds of prices, what rarity mix, and which plants have been showing up frequently.
The Robux shop is a different beast
The Robux gamepass shop is separate from the plant rotation shop. Robux purchases are permanent and don’t expire. If you’re spending real money, prioritize:
- VIP pass (2x cash + bonus plot slots) — best ROI.
- 2x Mastery — only matters once you’re in Mythical biome.
- Cosmetics — pure vanity, last priority.
See the VIP guide for the full ROI breakdown.
